Row of Packages

The Happy Birthday words are from a Hero Arts Birthday Saying Clear set (CL340).  The row of packages are from Morning Star.   I stamped the row of packages with black ink & stamped it again on white paper.  Then I cut out the one package in the middle & attached it over the image with a dimensional dot & added a bit of black ribbon.

Expecting Joy...

I have a friend I'm sending this card to that is expecting a baby.  The stamp is from a $1.00 bin either at Michael's or Joann's a few years ago.  The background stamp that I used is Stampin' Up set called Letter Patterns.  I used Spring Moss ink by Papertrey &amp & Dark Brown Chalk Ink, the patterned paper is Turning A New Leaf by Papertrey Ink

I {heart} trees!

I love trees!  I have a whole drawer full of tree stamps - I really love trees :)  For this card, I started out with a Memory Box Parsley Card, added a layer of brown & then Memory Box Biscotti Key Lime paper.  I stamped the Hero Arts Leaf Flourish on the two corners in Dark Brown Chalk Ink.  The Mod Tree Border is by Memory Box.  I used Papertrey Ink's Spring Moss Ink, Memento Rich Cocoa Ink & VersaMagic Thatched Straw Ink.  I love how this turned out!

Many Marvelous Monograms

I follow Taylor VanBruggen's blog regularly & noticed earlier in the week that she had this great monogram set that you can purchase from her store.  I downloaded Many Marvelous Monograms & it is well worth it for $4.95!  You can print each letter of the alphabet on one 8.5" x 11" standard printer paper size (20 of the same letter on each page). You also receive a bonus page of just borders to use with alphabet stamps or stickers or images you already have in your collection!  How fun are these...

I saw this color combination on Taylor's blog & instead of butterflies I used a Hero Arts Leaf Flourish on the pink cardstock.  A set of monogram cards would a be a great gift for someone!

Compose a Card...

I don't normally do these card challenges but I really like this color combination.  This is from Becky Oehler's blog.  You can check it out, she even did a video.  She doesn't do any talking on the video but has music from "Wicked" in the background.  I made my card to fit an envelope that I had so I didn't follow her measurements exactly but they are similar.  The patterned paper is from Making Memories.  I stamped the flower stamp on white cardstock with black ink.  The flower stamp is from American Crafts Sentiment clear set.  The Green layer & the ribbon are Ripe Avocado by Papertrey Ink.  The tiny words are from Papertrey Ink called Mixed Messages

Sprinkled with fun...

This card came from an idea I saw on Memory Box's website.  I exchanged the panda bear & used the girl instead.  I started with a Mango Memory Box card.  The top layer is Memory Box Sweet Corn & the bottom pattern is Mango Biscotti by Memory Box.  The Shopper Girl is by Amuse Art Stamps, the cupcake is by Memory Box & the words are from a Hero Arts Cupcakes (CL158) Clear set.  I used Prisma glitter on the cupcakes & the Lemon Tart Twill ribbon is from Papertrey Ink.

Melissa's Stamp Shop

I have been a card making fool lately so I thought this card was appropriate!  The Stamp Shop is by AMuse Art stamps.  I made the sign in Word & then printed out the tiny rectangle on the computer & personalized the little shop.

Paper Ribbon

Today's inspiration started with this pack of paper ribbon by K&Company.  I know that I have had it for over a year & have never used it.  It is really quite pretty!

Can you tell that I am ready for Spring?  I cut my card base out of Bazzill Lime green paper & I used the Basic Grey (Sultry Collection) floral patterned paper.  The Fleur Shoppe stamp is by AMuse Art Stamps.   I added a row of the paper ribbon along the bottom edge of the patterned paper - it was a nice touch, don't you think??

U-S-A!

I was rummaging thru my stash of cards the other day & look what I found!  I don't make the dry embossed cards anymore but I thought I would post this card in honor of the Winter Olympics!  I really love watching all the amazing athletes.

Inspiration...

I was inspired to use this paper pad by Basic Grey (Sultry collection) by my friend, Doreen.  She used it on her Valentine Cards this year.  I have a "thing" for paper pads.  I like to collect them, label them & put them in a cute basket.  It is a good idea to get them out & actually use them!! I loved the Colorbox Dark Brown Chalk ink that Doreen used on her card so that I what I used.  The cupcake stand stamp is from Impress Rubber Stamps & the solid 3 tier cake is from Savvy Stamps.  I added a little bit of Stickles glitter (Cotton Candy) to frost the cupcakes & the cake!

Through the Trees

I used Papertrey Ink's supplies once again to make this card.  I used kraft cardstock as the base of the card.  The stamp is from their set called Through the Trees.  I thought this card could be used for a masculine birthday card. The polka dot paper is from Turning a New Leaf.  The happy birthday words are brown rubons.  I think it is nice that you can stamp the tree trunk seperate from the leaves & being that it is a clear stamp set it is very easy to line everything up.

Bitty Baby Blessings

Everything I used for this card is by Papertrey Ink.  I cut the card base using Spring Moss cardstock then added a layer of Chocolate cardstock.  The patterned paper is from Papertrey's Pretty Pastels.  The cute little onesie is from Papertrey's Bitty Baby Blessings.  I stamped the image on the patterned paper & cut it out.  The ribbon is Spring Moss Twill.

More Bitty Baby Blessings...

And one more!

Let's Revisit an Old Stamp...

I was sorting thru my drawers & drawers of stamps the other day & saw an old favorite stamp.  I hadn't used it in a while & decided it was time.  The Flower Thank You stamp by Savvy Stamps sat on my desk for a few days before I was inpsired to use it. I stamped the image with Spring Moss ink by Papertrey.  If you click on the photo to make it large you will see the details up close.  I used one of my rectangle Nestabilities to cut the ivory rectangle as well as embossing the edge for a little extra detail.  I added a layer of Ripe Avocado paper on the ivory.  The notecards came from Doreen & I just love them with the matching envelopes.  The other card I used Papertrey Holiday Vintage Prints patterned paper.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I can't take credit for this idea but isn't Daniel Digger cute as Daniella Digger?  I typed "I Dig You" on the computer & printed it out on White Orange Peel textured paper.
This will be a card for my Valentine.

More Valentine Cards...

Here are a couple more Valentine Cards that I made.  I was all about variety this year, I don't think any one of them was exactly the same.  The frame stamp is by Hero Arts Frames & Messages CL130 & the small Happy Valentine's Day words are from Stampin' UP.  The card with the red on the bottom is embossed with the Cuttlebug Heart Embossing folder.  The card with the black background (may be hard to see) but I used the Hero Arts Antique Brocade.  My favorite!!

Love my Cuttlebug!

This Valentine card was fun to make.  I used the Cuttlebug Heart Embossing Folder on ivory cardstock.  I cut the embossed hearts to fit the top part of the card.  The heart stickers are Mrs. Grossman Laser Cut Brocade Hearts.  I layered the heart sticker on red & then black cardstock.  I used my Paper Piercing tool to make a faux stitching look across the card.  The "made with love" words were from a clear word set & I punched out the words using my Stampin' UP word window punch.  The red twill ribbon is from Papertrey.

No Stamping Required...

No stamping required!  Super simple card.  I used pink glitter alphabet letters & spelled out Happy Valentine's Day.  The heart border is by Martha Stewart.  I layered the pink heart cut out on brown & red cardstock.  And look at the darling polka dot envelope!

February Birthday Cards

The Heart Cupcake Stamp by Savvy Stamps seemed appropriate for a couple of February birthdays that I have coming up.  I stamped the cupcake on pink paper & then cut it out & used dimensional dots to attach to the card.  I colored the cupcake wrapper with a brown marker & the heart on top of the cupcake.  I used a little bit of glitter on the heart.  The card with the brown paper on the bottom I used the new Cling Stamp by Hero Arts called Antique Brocade.  This has become one of my favorite stamps!  I just love that brocade pattern!   I used the Martha Stewart Polka Dot paper & all other cardstock is by Papertrey.

Polka Dot Cupcakes

The cardstock, ribbon & polka dot patterned paper are all by Papertrey.  I really love that everything matches.  I used the Martha Stewart Traditional Scallop Punch on the border of the ivory cardstock.  I stamped the cupcake images on Bitty Dots Paper also by Papertrey & punched them out with a circle punch.  The cupcake stamp is from a small clear set of Hero Arts called Cupcakes (CL168).  I added a touch of glitz to the cupcake with the Stardust Clear Gelly Roll pen by Sakura.  Another quick & simple birthday card!

Damask!

I used the Damask Solid stamp & the Thank you for Everything words by AMuse.  Amuse sells matching Shimmer Couture Damask Paper . I used the black & brown shimmer paper on these two cards.  I stamped & embossed the Damask stamp for both cards. The black damask was stamped with black ink & I used clear embossing powder.  The brown damask was stamped using VersaMark & clear embossing powder.  The Happy Birthday rubons were used on the brown card.  I also added a few red twinkles on the Thank you card.  I love this combination - the damask stamp & the damask paper are very classy looking!

I love my label maker!  The P-touch by Brother works well for me.  I use it for labeling anything & everything.

Fleur de Lis

I had a chance to play with the new TPC Fleur de Lis clear stamp set that I purchased at Hobby Lobby earlier this week.  I had fun making a few cards & tags as well.  I don't know if you can see it but I used the Fleur de Lis Embossing Folder on the black cardstock.  The "thank you" words are from Hero Arts Clear Set called Thank You Sayings.  The "Sincere Thanks" stamp is from Amuse.  The Fleur de Lis ribbon I purchased at Hobby Lobby on a small spool for 99 cents.  I found that Color Box Chalk Ink in Creamy Brown was a good match to the kraft cardstock.

Daniel Digger says Happy Winter

I just fell in love with this Daniel Digger stamp by Poppy Stamps. I'm usually not a fan of cutesy stamps but for some reason this one I really liked. I cut & scored the card using Papertrey Aqua Mist cardstock. I used the Swiss Dots Embossing folder & embossed the entire front of the card. Stamp Daniel Digger in black ink on a lighter shade of cardstock and also onto a piece of white cardstock. Color the face on the white cardstock. Cut the face out and mount on top of the other stamped image. I used my Quickie Glue pen to apply glue & sprinkled it with Hero Arts Prisma Glitter. I added a white layer of cardstock & attached it to the card using dimensional dots. The words Happy Winter are from Savvy Stamps & I punched the words out with my Stampin UP Word Window Punch. AND the ribbon - in the January release for Papertrey they introduced this very cool new product! White silk ribbon in two sizes (1/4" & 1/8") You can use your Copic or Prisma Markers & color the ribbon to match. Isn't that awesome? And check out the darling wooden spool it is wrapped on?
Copic Markers Used: BG11, BG32, BG34, E35, R00

Dona made these Daniel Digger cards!  She used the Snowflake Embossing Template as the background on her cards. What a great idea!

Hey Cupcake...

I found this pack of stickers by K&Company at Target a few weeks ago.  Aren't they cute?  I used the Victoria Embossing Folder by Cuttlebug to emboss the brown cardstock on the bottom of the cards.  On the red card I embossed the top of the card as well with the Swiss Dots Embossing folder.  I added coordinating ribbon & the cupcake stickers.

My Morning...

Hi -  So I take my husband's truck in for an oil change this morning & lucky for me Hobby Lobby is right next door.  So I had the option to wait for an hour in the lobby of the car dealership (NOT!) or take a stroll thru Hobby Lobby?  You know what my choice was!  I always manage to find something when I go to that place.  I can't wait to try out this Fleur de lis stamp set & look I even found ribbon to match.  I also pulled out this notebook that I'm going to keep on my desk in my studio so that I can write down any ideas that come to mind or things that I want to use.

Cards for Nieces

Happy Ground Hog Day!  According to the news we have 6 more weeks of winter coming our way.  Yesterday I made these quick & easy cards.  I thought they would be perfect for little girls that like to see their age on the card!  I used Papertrey cardstock & matching inks to stamp the cakes.  The striped cake stamp is from Savvy Stamps.  I used a Stamp set from Stampendous called Fifteen Candles to stamp all the numbers on the cakes.  I layered with a bit of black cardstock, matching ribbon & used dimensional dots to attach the card.  Super Simple!

Ribbon makes me smile!

I love ribbon...  I went to my stamp store this morning & found more
ribbon that I just "had" to have!

Ribbon wrapped & ready to go in the appropriate box...

This is how I like to store my ribbon. It makes it easy when you are working on a card & you can easily get a look at all your ribbon by color to find that perfect match!

***It's Snowing***

It is snowing in Iowa so I was inspired to make these snowflake cards.  Susan & Dona I think you may also own these black polka dot cards!!  They are PSA Essentials notecards.  I used K&Company Die Cut Snowflake Stickers with gems.  I layered the snowflake sticker on red & black cardstock & used dimensional dots to attach it to the notecard.  Super simple & again no stamping required.
Happy Birthday to my friend Sandy!

Details: I used the Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Swiss Dots which is one of my favorites.  I added straight scores lines at the bottom of the card.  The cardstock is from Papertrey as well as the Swiss Dots ribbon, Happy Everything Stamp set from Stampin' UP and the little gems are from AMuse.  If you come up with a card design that you like, why not make a few extra for your stash?!!
