Hello Easter!

I started with the background paper for this card.  I was determined to use some of my Splash ink.  First I sponged Melon and Watermelon inks on a piece of Sugar card stock.  Then I sprayed Golddust Splash directly on my Haunted Mansion Background stamp and then stamped it over the blended inks.  It is sort of hard to see in the picture but it adds a subtle glimmer to the background.

Cardstock:  Sugar, Sugar Shimmer, Bubblegum

Amuse Studio Bird Party Favor

This is one of Amuse Studio's Ready to Roll Party projects for April.  It was fun to make and could easily be adapted for any occasion.

Amuse Studio Products:      SHOP AMUSE STUDIO

Stamps:  You're Too Kind
Cardstock:  Bermuda, Sugar, Amethyst
Ink:  Memento Rich Cocoa, Navy
Other:  Navy Satin Ribbon, YR21 Cream Copic marker, small cellophane bag, Nestabilities Oval, You're Too Kind die set, Scallop border die set, Crop-a-dile

Cutting instructions:

Bermuda cardstock:  3" x 10 ½" scored at 4 ½", 5", 9 ½"
Amethyst cardstock:  3" x 1 ¼"
Sugar cardstock:  3" x 2 ½" for bird die cut

Use the scallop borders die to cut the flap edge of the Bermuda card stock.  Use the scallop borders die to cut the edge of the Amethyst card stock piece.  Attach to the inside of the Bermuda flap.  Position the oval die and cut to create a window opening under the top flap.  (allow room for the sentiment at top)

Stamp sentiment in Navy ink above oval window.  Stamp the bird on Sugar card stock in Memento Rich Cocoa ink.  Use the positioning plate to place the bird die over the stamped image and cut.  Color the bird image using YR21 Copic marker.

Adhere the bird die cut to the front in the lower right corner.  Fill a small cellophane bag with candy and fold Bermuda card stock around bag.  Use the crop-a-dile to punch two holes in the top flap.  Tie the Navy satin ribbon through the holes at top.

Easter Treats!

Linda at Amuse Studio put together these cute Easter tag treats.  She cut the tags with Amuse Studio's Petite Gingham card stocks using the Holiday Tag Die Set.  The Happy Easter sentiment is from For Peep's Sake stamp set and the bunnies are from the new Bunny Die Set.  She tied the tags onto Pastel Sixlets that she picked up at the Dollar Tree.  I love the Spring time colors!
I thought it would be fun to make some Easter tags at my April Card workshop so I have been busy getting a few things prepared!  Thank you to Linda for the great idea and the tip on finding the Pastel Sixlets at Dollar Tree.
I used the sentiment from Amuse Studio's Color Me Happy stamp set for my tags.

Bitty Boxes!

I was inspired by the little box on the cover of Amuse Studio's Spring Accessories Guide.  I made the box with the sparkly Mermaid egg and then I added a couple more to my collection!
The boxes are made by adhering two 6" x 2" strips of cardstock (scored at 2" & 4") Lay the two pieces across one another forming a plus sign pattern.  Glue the pieces together in the bottom of the basket.  Fold up the sides and tie a ribbon around them to create the box.

Sparkly Mermaid Egg Box:
Cardstock:  Buttercup Gingham, Sugar, Mermaid
Other:  Egg Die, Scallop Border Die, Mermaid Glitter, Sugar Organdy Ribbon

Rabbit Box:
Cardstock:  Sugar, Blush
Other:  Ears are made from the leaves of the Flowers Die Set 2 (see photo below), Heart Twinkle Sticker, Silver Brads for the basket handle

Bunny Bum Box:

Chevron Egg Card

Here is a cute Easter Egg Card that I found at the Silhouette Store called Chevron Scalloped Egg Card.  If you own a Silhouette, they are having an awesome sale - everything is 50% off thru March 27th!

Amuse Studio Card stock in Sugar, Grapefruit and Apple cuts out nicely using the Silhouette Cameo.

Easter Fun

I'm still having lots of fun with the new Amuse Studio Easter products.  I bought this berry basket on the Silhouette Store.  I used Amuse Studio Kraft card stock to cut it out with my Cameo then decorated the sides with Amuse Studio's Orange Polka Dot card stock.  I added green shreds to the berry basket and a few speckled eggs.  I showed how to make the carrot treats on my blog post yesterday.
I think the Easter bunny place cards would be perfect for Easter entertaining.  You could easily stamp or print your guests name on them for a personalized touch.

Amuse Studio Carrot Treat

This was an idea from last years Amuse Studio archives.  I decided to make a few more to add to an Easter project that I'm working on.  They are quick and easy and oh so cute!

Amuse Studio Products:      SHOP AMUSE STUDIO

Stamps:  N/A
Cardstock:  Melon, Orange Petite Polka Dot
Ink:  N/A
Other:  Super stick red double-sided adhesive, Gusseted cello bag Item #BAGGUS1, Grass Silky Crush ribbon

You can use a Circle Scissor Pro to cut your circle but I used my Silhouette Cameo and cut a 6" circle from the card stock.  Cut the circle into four equal triangles (I did this with my Cameo too).  The finished size is about 3" tall.  Adhere the super stick tape along one inside edge of the triangle.  Adhere a small strip of the super stick tape in the middle of the triangle to hold the cello bag in place.  Fill the gusseted cell bag with a small amount of candy and tie with Grass Silky Crush ribbon.  Position the candy filled bag in the carrot - about half way from the top.  Wrap the card stock around the bag to form the cone-shape and adhere the edge.

Another St. Patrick's Day post.  Laura sent me this card and the jar she gave me for Christmas.   She made decorated circles for the jar with a magnet on them so that you can switch them out for various occasions.  Isn't that a great idea?

Amuse Studio Paper Carrot Treat

Look at the darling idea from Amuse Studio to make the sour cream containers for carrot Easter treats!  I'll show you a few tips!

You can make 4 sour cream containers out of one sheet of 8 ½" x11" card stock.  I used Amuse Studio's Orange Petite Polka Dot to get started and cut the card stock into 4 equal pieces.  Each piece measures 4 ¼" x 5 ½".

Apply red sticky tape to both long sides and one short side.

Remove the plastic liner from the sticky tape.  Adhere the short ends of the paper together to form a cylinder.
Remove the plastic liner from the sticky tape and press the two sides together. Don't forget to add your treats!
If you have a paper crimper this will help to reinforce the adhesive.  Slide the taped end into your crimper and slowly add two crimped lines.
Remove the plastic liner from the sticky tape, then push the sides together in the opposite direction from the other end.  Crimp the edge of the container.

Decorate the container!

I love our new Crepe paper to make the little carrot top on the container.  This color is the Lime Crepe Paper Item #EAST502.  Our new Green Baker's cording is perfect for attaching a cute circle tag.  I die cut bunnies from our new Bunny Die Set and added die cut grass and/or a flower die.
Cute treats ready for some bunnies Easter basket!
